Candle helps friends share the light

With the world facing some of its most traumatic and unsettling times in living memory a candle to support Coronavirus charities has been launched in the UK by an interior design studio.

The firm hope to use the candle to boost the public’s mental health and raise vital funds, by donating 100% of profits to the National Emergencies Trust and NHS Charities Together.

Interior designer Jenny Allan is behind the #sharethelight project and explains:

The #sharethelight candle is a way of sending love and light to your family, friends or even yourself and at the same time it will also help to support the National Emergencies Trust and NHS Charities Together.

Self-isolation is difficult for many people and lighting a candle can offer a small boost to moral and enhance general well-being.

It is a way of connecting and helping others through these dark times. Every candle will make a difference.

Jenny Allan and her team created the candle as they wanted to do something that would raise money for Coronavirus charities and NHS staff charities whilst also lifting spirits of the wider population.

The candle has been created for anyone who needs a little light at the end of the tunnel and this quote from Martin Luther King Jr was one of the inspirations behind its design.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.

Candles can be purchased for £9.99 via the www.sharethelightcandle.co.uk website. Profits to National Emergencies Trust and NHS Charities Together.
