Rooftop TV: Hope For Justice, Hackney’s Young Heroes, Pop-up Toy Shops

The home of good news worth shouting about, The Rooftop, has launched a new weekly broadcast series called Rooftop TV.

Featuring a roundup of the week’s top good news stories, the programme shines a spotlight on the issues that matter and the campaigns that are making a positive difference to people’s lives.

In this week’s show, Tom York shares a story about a fundraising campaign that has been launched to reward young people from the London Borough of Hackney who stepped up to help their local community during the Covid-19 lockdown.

We also hear how charity Hope for Justice is using a £25,000 grant awarded by the Morrisons Foundation to support survivors of modern slavery in the UK, and about two young siblings who opened a pop-up toy shop to raise money for Good Hope Hospital Charity.
