We’ve been absolutely thrilled with the response to our series of Real Voices features, of which six have been published. We’ve covered stories from people with real life experience of fuel poverty, care work, youth violence, digestive health issues, supporting children’s emotional development, and campaigning for clean air. We’ve already had thousands of views for our Real Voices pieces, and we’re excited for the future of this feature.

Our purpose with the Real Voices series is to amplify the perspectives of people who have genuine experience with the issue concerned, issues which are often mishandled or underrepresented in the mainstream media.

We thought we’d share a few of our favourite responses from our readers on Real Voices. Our piece featuring Anne’s story, who has been forced into fuel poverty by skyrocketing prices, garnered many responses on Facebook.

Our piece featuring Laura, who described her experience working in care homes, sparked a lot of discussion around the role of carers:
