Youth mental health charity, Beyond, has been chosen by The Leasing Foundation as its charity partner for 2024. The first official fundraising event will be a reception in Spring 2024.
Beyond is tackling the growing mental health crisis affecting young people in the UK, where roughly one in five young people suffers from a mental disorder. Beyond believes that every young person has the right to receive the most effective mental health support at the right moment.
Louisa Rose, CEO at Beyond, said:
“We are delighted that Beyond has been chosen as The Leasing Foundation’s charity of the year – its fundraising and support will make a huge difference to us and the individuals that we support and will enable us to be there for young people and their families at their time of greatest need.”
Beyond uses it expertise and resources to help those working with young people access the right mental health support for those in their care. To date, it has enabled access to critical mental health interventions in over 56 educational settings and provided free mental health resources to over one million young people. All on a very limited budget.
Nathan Mollett, Chair of the Leasing Foundation, said:
“We feel that Beyond directly aligns with the Foundation’s goals and purpose and, of course, many of us know someone who has been suffering with little or no mental health support. We are therefore proud to name Beyond as our charity of the year. The organisation is doing an incredible job helping to improve the mental health of young people and therefore our community’s future workforce. We look forward to bringing the industry together to provide support where we can.”
The Leasing Foundation, is a not-for-profit organisation that has three key focus areas – innovation; young people; and diversity and inclusion – which are crucial in terms of driving growth across industry. It has been a platform from which projects and initiatives are launched to ensure that the business finance sector helps organisations in the UK access the finance they need.
