Rooftop TV: Episode 6 – The Big Issue, food poverty, mental health awareness

The home of good news worth shouting about, The Rooftop, has launched a new weekly broadcast series called Rooftop TV.

Featuring a roundup of the week’s top good news stories, the programme shines a spotlight on the issues that matter and the campaigns that are making a positive difference to people’s lives.

In this week’s show, UK Editor of The Big Issue, Paul McNamee talks to Tom York about how the publication reinvented its entire business model in a matter of weeks so it can continue to provide vital support to 1,500 vendors across Britain who are currently unable to sell the magazine on the streets.

Also in the show, The Rooftop’s Sarah Colombini talks about The Lord Mayor’s Appeal Green Ribbon campaign for #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, and also shares a positive story about how The Savoy Hotel has teamed up with food charity City Harvest London to provide hundreds of free meals each week to the capital’s most vulnerable communities.

New Rooftop TV episodes air every Friday lunchtime on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram TV.
