The online home of positive news worth shouting about – The Rooftop – has launched its first ever Crowdfunding campaign to help bring even more uplifting and inspiring stories to the public every day.
The Rooftop, a community interest company founded in 2018, is dedicated to celebrating the achievements of smaller charities, social enterprises, community interest companies, public sector organisations, trade unions, and individual campaigners, whose voices often go unnoticed by the mainstream media.
In just three years, The Rooftop has grown massively, with a current reach of more than 500,000 content views per week across the website and on social media.
Editor of The Rooftop, Simon Francis, said:
The public’s appetite for positive news since the arrival of the pandemic has seen The Rooftop’s audience figures reach record levels, with weekly content views increasing by a staggering 184 percent,
To enable us to empower and inspire even more people, and to keep up with the public demand for positive news, we are asking for donations to our Crowdfunder, which we will use to grow and improve The Rooftop over the next 12 months.
All funds raised through The Rooftop’s Crowdfunder will be invested in The Rooftop News Podcast and Rooftop TV, the creation of a weekly newsletter, and for the site to employ its first ever editorial assistant.
No donation is too small. Each and every contribution will help The Rooftop thrive in 2022, allowing us to share more positive stories about issues that matter and campaigns that make a difference.
