Members of The Rooftop’s editorial team were proud to participate in the FairSay Campaigning Forum in Oxford last week, which provided a chance to network with the campaigners whose stories we shout about on our platform. The conference gives campaigners the opportunity to connect with each other and share ideas and tips on delivering campaigns that make a difference.
The Forum brings together top campaigners, fundraisers, media officers and digital experts for collaborative learning, skill-sharing and networking. It was held across two days at St Anne’s College, Oxford.
Our Content Producer Lizzie Lewis was able to give a presentation on The Rooftop for all attendees, focusing on our origins and mission to provide a platform for positive news, and the success of our feature ‘Real Voices’ in amplifying the perspectives of people with lived experience of issues being discussed in the media.
Lizzie commented:
“We were thrilled to be able to attend the FairSay Campaigning Forum in Oxford, and highlight The Rooftop as the home of positive news worth shouting about. We at The Rooftop are dedicated to featuring stories from campaigns that make a difference, so it was great to connect with so many campaigners from across the world at the event.”
